Forever BARE Laser Hair Removal

FOREVER BARE HAIR REMOVAL

LASER HAIR REDUCTION

BBL HERO laser hair removal is a non-invasive, painless method that removes hair in an exceptionally fast and comfortable treatment.  Forever BARE can be used on a variety of skin tones and hair textures, and in 3-6 treatments most patients are seeing an 80-90% reduction of hair in treated areas.  BBL motion technology destroys hair follicles at the root, delivering a low fluence in multiple pulses, protecting the skin, while progressively raising the follicle temperature to the optimal level for hair removal, preventing hair from growing.  This is unlike traditional hair reduction devices that apply energy to an area all at once.

The Healing Hut uses state of the art technology with this innovative device for the most comfortable, safe and effective hair removal option! Utilizing in motion technology, the intuitive interface allows your provider to select appropriate setting for your skin type and hair follicle size, using an enhanced cooling system.  The versatility of this device allows to treat both small and large spot sizes and contoured areas of the body.  The hair reduction is usually permanent, and any hair that regrows is normally finer and less visible.  We recommend maintenance sessions 1X-2X per year to keep the are free of hair regrowth.  Forever BARE BBL reduces the number of maintenance treatments you require and optimizes the results, to achieve smooth, even textured and hair free BARE skin faster.

THE PROCEDURE ~ WHAT TO EXPECT:

We will begin with a consultation to determine if laser hair removal is the right option for you, by discussing skin type, hair color, medical history and goals.  We will customize and tailor a treatment plan for your specific needs.  Once the procedure begins, a cooling gel will be applied to the treatment area, and the Forever BARE BBL device will target and destroy hair follicles in the targeted area by emitting concentrated beams of light.  During the treatment you will likely feel light, warm, snapping sensations.  The devices large spot size allows for a quick treatment due to the larger area that can be covered with each pulse.

THE RECOVERY ~ WHAT TO EXPECT:

Post treatment, swelling and mild redness may occur in the treated area.  This is normal and should dissipate within a few hours.  You may also experience mild discomfort, and your skin will be photosensitive for a few days, so be sure to avoid direct sun exposure.  Daily activities can be resumed right away, but we recommend wearing a broad spectrum sunscreen regularly.

Laser hair removal results can vary depending on the individual.  Most patients experience a significant reduction in hair growth after a few treatments.  For optimal results, you may need 6 to 8 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.  Your hair will grow thinner and sparser after each session.  After the series of Forever BARE treatments, maintenance treatments may be necessary once or twice a year to maintain your results.

 HOW TO CARE:

  • Immediately following your treatment, redness and bumps are common, and may last up to 2 hours or longer. Is it normal for the treated area to feel like a sunburn for a few hours.  Cold compresses will help if the sensitivity continues.
  • NO makeup/ lotion/ deodorant for the first 24 hours.
  • Dead hairs begin to shed 5-30 days after your treatment. Stubble, representing dead hair being shed from the hair follicle will appear within 5-30 days from the treatment date.  That is normal and they will fall out quickly.
  • Avoid sun exposure to reduce the chance of dark or light spots for 2 months. Use sunscreen (SPF 25 or higher) at all times throughout the treatment period and for 1 to 2 months following.
  • DO NOT wax, thread, or tweeze the treated area.
  • AVOID picking or scratching the treated area.
  • DO NOT use any other hair removal methods or products, other than shaving on the treated area during the course of your laser treatments as it will prevent you from achieving the desired results.

THE THREE STAGES OF HAIR GROWTH

 ANAGEN

THIS IS THE BEST STAGE FOR LASER HAIR REMOVAL TREATMENTS BECAUSE THE HAIR IS AND CONNECTED TO THE BLOOD SUPPLY THAT FEEDS THE HAIR.

THIS STAGE IS THE ACTIVE GROWTH PHASE AND THE HAIR IS STILL ATTACHED TO THE HAIR FOLLICLE AND GROWING.  THE HAIR FOLLICLE IS FULLY FUNCTIONAL DURING THIS STAGE, AND THE ROOT IF AT THE BASE OF THE FOLLICLE IS FIRMLY ANCHORED.

 CATAGEN

HAIR GROWTH SLOWS DOWN IN THIS PHASE, KNOWN AS THE TRANSITIONAL PHASE AND THE FOLLICLE BEGINS TO SHRINK.  AS THE FOLLICLE STARTS TO RETRACT, THE HAIR DETACHES FROM THE BLOOD SUPPLY, AND CAUSES THE HAIR TO BECOME SHORTER AND WEAKER.  LASER HAIR REMOVAL IS LESS EFFECTIVE IN THIS STAGE, AS THE HAIR IS NOT GROWING AS ACTIVELY.

 TELOGEN

THE HAIR IS NO LONGER GROWING IN THE TELOGEN STAGE, WHICH IS THE RESTING PHASE, AND THE HAIR FOLLICLE IS AT IT’S SMALLEST SIZE.  BECAUSE THE HAIR IS FULLY DETACHED FROM THE BLOOD SUPPLY, IT IS NO LONGER GROWING.  THERE IS NO GROWTH FOR THE LASER TO TARGET, AS THE HAIR FOLLICLE IS IN A RESTING STATE.  LASER HAIR REMOVAL IS INEFFECTIVE DURING THIS STAGE.
